On the night of July 31, Ukrainian drones attacked strategic targets in the Republic of Tatarstan, which is part of Russia. According to preliminary reports, the Wildberries logistics complex—which is linked to the Russian military—was damaged, as reported by Dialog.UA after analyzing social media.

Residents of Kazan heard explosions early in the morning on July 31. Several videos have already been posted online showing at least two major fires following drone strikes. It is also claimed that Ukrainian UAVs attacked a Wildberries warehouse in Zelenodolsk. The video was published by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

The head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had not yet commented on the situation in the region at the time this article was written. The mayor of Zelenodolsk, Mikhail Afanasyev, has also remained completely silent.

Marketplace Wildberries sells goods for the “SVO” (as the war against Ukraine is called in Russia) and helps the Russian military-industrial complex obtain goods subject to sanctions (such as components for UAVs and navigation equipment); as a result, the company’s warehouses are legitimate targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Since July 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been regularly striking RWB Group facilities in Russia. On the night of July 31, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Wildberries logistics complexes not only in Tatarstan but also in Volgograd. This information was officially confirmed by the RWB Group’s press service. The strikes caused a fire at the facility.
