An oil terminal has been hit.

On the night of July 4, Ukrainian drones attacked one of Russia’s largest maritime terminals for transshipping petroleum products in the Baltic Sea.

This was confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “Last night, Ukraine’s long-range sanctions against Russia… took effect near St. Petersburg. Ukrainian defense forces struck port oil infrastructure that funds Russia’s war; there were also hits on Kronstadt—an important military target. The distance from Ukraine’s state border is more than 850 kilometers,” the head of state noted.

Zelenskyy thanked everyone who ensures the precision of Ukraine’s strikes and carries out the long-range sanctions plan.

The Unmanned Systems Forces also commented on the nighttime strike. “Operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the ‘St. Petersburg’ oil terminal and the ‘Kronstadt’ base in the Leningrad Region,” the military stated.

They reported that the attack was carried out by operators from the 1st Separate Center in coordination with the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and other components of the Defense Forces.

Operators from the 1st Separate Center also struck “Kronstadt,” the main base of the Leningrad Naval Base of the Baltic Fleet. The facility provides basing, repair, and maintenance for combat ships, as well as control of the sea approaches to St. Petersburg.
