The Ukrainian Armed Forces Struck Crimea: Bridges, A Boat Base, And Facilities Of The Russian Black Sea Fleet Were Hit

The targets that were hit played an important role in supplying Russian troops.

On the night of August 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against key Russian military facilities in occupied Crimea and in southern Ukraine.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

One of the main targets was a fleet of unmanned naval craft in the Chernomorsk area of occupied Crimea. According to military sources, Russian troops were storing, preparing, and maintaining the boats there, which are used for combat and special operations in the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian military also struck two railway bridges—the “Sivash” bridge near Chongar and bridges near Vladislavivka.

The General Staff noted that these bridges are key elements of Russia’s military logistics and are used to transport personnel, equipment, weapons, ammunition, and other logistical supplies between occupied Crimea and the occupied territories in southern Ukraine.

Separately, it was reported that a Russian Black Sea Fleet electronic intelligence unit in Sevastopol was struck.

In addition, a repair and restoration base in the Pervomaiskyi district, a logistics depot near Podove in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, and a drone warehouse in the Tokmak district of the Zaporizhzhia region were targeted.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at ending the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff concluded.

As a reminder, that same night, OSINT communities reported drone attacks on a number of occupied cities, including Zugres, Berdyansk, Luhansk, Dolzhansk, and Sevastopol.

According to preliminary reports, energy infrastructure facilities were targeted, after which fires broke out in several cities and power outages occurred.
