During Russia’s massive attack on Kyiv on the night of August 1, the Lithuanian Embassy building in Ukraine was damaged.
This was reported by Charter97.org, citing a post by Ukraine’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiga on the social network X.
“As a result of a massive Russian attack on Kyiv, the Lithuanian Embassy building sustained minor damage. Fortunately, none of the staff were injured,” Sibiga said.

He noted that Russian terror spares no one and does not respect any international norms, in particular the provisions of the Vienna Convention. And it can only be stopped by force and sufficient air defense capabilities.
“We express our solidarity with Lithuania, my colleague Kęstutis Budris, Ambassador Inga Stanite-Toločkene, and all our friends at the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We are ready to provide all necessary assistance,” the minister added.
As a reminder, on the night of August 1, Russia launched a massive ballistic missile attack on Kyiv.
Nine people were killed in the attack, and another 30 were injured, including four children.
Destruction and fires were reported in five districts of the Ukrainian capital—Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Pecherskyi.
