Belarusians marked the anniversary of the largest protests in the country's history.
Commemorative and solidarity events were held in several Polish cities, according to the "Basta!" Telegram channel.
About 50 people marked the anniversary of the rigged presidential election in Gdańsk. Residents of the neighboring cities of Sopot and Gdynia also attended the event.
Rallies in solidarity with Belarus take place every Sunday in Szczecin. On August 9, our compatriots commemorated not only the events of 2020 but also the political prisoners. A large banner featuring portraits of prisoners of the Lukashenko regime was unfurled at the rally.
As previously reported by the website Charter97.org, events marking the anniversary of the 2020 events took place yesterday in Białystok, Warsaw, Vilnius, and many other European cities.
