Ukrainian Drones Struck The Command Post Of The S-300 Air Defense System

The strike opens up new opportunities for attacks deep within Russian territory.

Soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade, “Black Forest,” struck a command and control vehicle belonging to the Russian S-300P/PM air defense missile system.

According to “Censor.NET”, footage of the rare target being destroyed was released by brigade personnel on social media.

The video shows that several Ukrainian reconnaissance UAVs were simultaneously monitoring the air defense system. This particular vehicle is one of the key elements of the air defense system, as it collects information from radars and transmits commands to the launchers.

"Black Forest" notes that the destruction of a command post could significantly weaken Russian air defense operations on a specific section of the front and open up opportunities for Ukrainian forces to operate deeper into enemy territory.

In addition, command and staff vehicles contain complex and expensive electronic equipment, and training crews to operate such systems takes a long time.
