A logistics hub in the Voronezh Region is on fire following a series of powerful explosions.

On the night of August 11, a fire broke out at the Wildberries logistics complex in the Novousmansky District of the Voronezh Region. Local residents reported explosions, and the company confirmed the evacuation of employees.

This was reported by Charter97.org citing the ASTRA monitoring project.

What is known about the incident

On the night of August 11, residents of the Voronezh Region reported explosions and a fire in the village of Aleksandrovka in the Novousmansky District. According to an analysis of eyewitness footage conducted by ASTRA, the Wildberries logistics complex is on fire.

The company’s press office has officially confirmed the evacuation of employees in the region.

The circumstances and cause of the fire have not yet been officially confirmed. Monitoring channels are posting videos from the scene showing a large-scale fire.

What is known about the facility itself

The Wildberries logistics complex in Aleksandrovka became fully operational in November 2025.

According to the Voronezh Region Investment Promotion Agency, the warehouse complex covers an area of 152,900 square meters and has a storage capacity of over 90 million SKUs. RVB (a joint venture between Wildberries and Russ) invested approximately 11 billion rubles in the construction of the facility.

Wildberries has come under attack more than once this summer. On August 7, drones attacked the company’s logistics complex in Yekaterinburg—a city located more than 1,700 km from the border with Ukraine. A few days later, media outlets reported that following attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, sales of military goods on the marketplace plummeted to a record low—in just three months, Wildberries sold 1.646 billion rubles worth of body armor, drones, and other equipment.

The company’s problems are mounting not only because of the attacks. Russia’s largest state-owned banks—Sberbank and VTB— — are seeing a deterioration in the quality of their loan portfolios, and problems are mounting among customers of marketplaces, particularly Wildberries, where an increasing number of borrowers are seeking debt restructuring.
