A fire of such magnitude broke out at one of the largest oil refineries that the authorities were no longer able to cover it up.

On the night of August 13, Ukrainian drones attacked Russia and targets in the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, explosions were heard in Bashkortostan.

Ukrainian public figure and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko reported that, at a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers, the Defense Forces struck “Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat.”

“This is one of the largest oil refining complexes in the Russian Federation, with a capacity of 10 million metric tons of feedstock per year. It combines oil refining, large-scale chemical production, and a gas chemical plant,” Sternenko noted.

Governor Rady Khabirov officially confirmed the attack by Ukrainian drones. According to him, debris from one of the drones fell in the Salavat industrial zone, causing a fire.

In addition, electricity was completely cut off in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol following a nighttime attack. The temporarily occupied city of Mariupol was also targeted by the Defense Forces. The consequences of the attack are being assessed.
