Zelenskyy Spoke About The Successes In Blocking Russia's Southern Region

Ukraine's plan for long-range sanctions is being implemented.

At a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters, steps and measures were outlined to reinforce the Slavyansk and Konstantinovka sectors. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an evening video address.

He thanked the Ukrainian units that are eliminating the occupiers and countering Russian assaults and their “infiltration.”

“We expect that now, in August, at least 30,000 occupiers will be eliminated,” Zelenskyy noted.

The Ukrainian president also emphasized that Ukraine has been able to transition to a significantly more technologically advanced defense this year.

“We are implementing a plan of long-range strikes, and we are carrying out an increasing number of our own strikes against targets at medium ranges. “In fact, we have succeeded in blocking Russia’s south, and we are expanding this strategic operation—and quite justifiably so—in response to Russian strikes on our ports and our cities,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, it is necessary to put pressure on Russian society so that it realizes: the war must end. He added:
“Our sanctions against Russian oil refineries and their facilities in the Russian oil sector, our strikes against Russian military logistics, and our operation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas—all of this is aimed at limiting Russia’s capacity to wage war. It is important to continue this effort through more active political and legal measures as well.”

He also emphasized that a decision has been made on a Ukrainian sanctions package targeting companies and vessels exporting grain and other goods stolen from Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories. New sanctions packages are also being prepared against the Russian military-industrial complex, as well as against financial networks and intermediaries.
