Popular Blogger Vladimir Zolkin Has Enlisted In The Ukrainian Armed Forces

Blogger Vladimir Zolkin, who, since the start of the full-scale invasion, has been posting videos of conversations with captured occupiers, has enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zolkin posted several photos of himself in military uniform on his Facebook page. The blogger added a humorous comment to the photos: “It’s great in the Maldives. The people here are down-to-earth and interested in politics. One guy told me I look a lot like that, well, that guy, um… I asked: ‘The blogger?’ He said, ‘Yeah, yeah, the one who interviews prisoners!’ I said, ‘I don’t watch that jerk, and I don’t even understand how anyone can talk to them—they should be shot.’ He said, “But you really do look like him, even your voice—crazy.” People constantly confuse me with him.”

The blogger explained that, despite being mobilized in April, he only posted a photo of himself in uniform now because he wanted to do so after he had actually been deployed to the front lines. When asked why he decided to enlist, Zolkin replied briefly: “Everyone needs to enlist.”

Vladimir Zolkin also noted that he has already completed basic combined-arms training and is currently stationed in the Dnipropetrovsk region as part of an electronic intelligence platoon.
