Explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Moscow
On the evening of August 1, a powerful explosion occurred near the “Barrikadnaya” metro station in Moscow. Initially, it was claimed that a gas leak might have caused the explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the explosion occurred near the restaurant’s outdoor terrace, killing three people and injuring 15.
The explosion was allegedly carried out by a female suicide bomber who was holding a box containing a “gift” for General Alexander Chaiko, commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The officer, who is suspected of committing war crimes in Ukraine in 2022, was not injured.
