They will be held on a mandatory basis.
Belarus is expanding its preventive health screening program for women. One of the main new features will enable the early detection of infertility risks.
Ivan Kurlovich, deputy director for research at the “Mother and Child” Republican Scientific and Practical Center, told BelTA about this Ivan Kurlovich.
The new measure will apply to Belarusian women between the ages of 18 and 39. During their checkups, they will be required to undergo additional examinations.
The program will include hormonal screening and an ovarian reserve test. The latter allows for an assessment of the number of eggs in the ovaries and a woman’s reproductive potential.
This will enable doctors to identify potential problems even before clinical symptoms appear.
In addition, preventive health campaigns are planned for young women. These include “Future Mom” and “Thyroid Health.”
What Older Patients Will Be Screened For
Screenings are also provided for older women. They will undergo targeted screenings for breast cancer and osteoporosis.
All these measures are part of the Ministry of Health’s comprehensive preventive plan, launched during the “Year of the Belarusian Woman.”
According to Ivan Kurlovich, the goal of this approach is to make healthcare proactive so that potential health problems can be detected as early as possible.
