Ukrainians Helped Poland Grow Its Economy

New data has shown the real economic impact of Ukrainians.

Poland has assessed the role of Ukrainians in the country’s economy and cited figures demonstrating the scale of their contribution to GDP.

This was reported by Charter97.org, citing a statement from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the employment rate among Ukrainians in Poland stood at 78% in 2024. The ministry also noted that the contribution of Ukrainians was one of the factors driving Poland’s GDP growth of 2.7%.

The Polish Foreign Ministry noted that these figures reflect not only employment and tax revenue but also specific examples of business development and innovation.

“Ukrainians are not merely finding refuge in Poland—they are actively contributing to the development of the Polish economy,” the Foreign Ministry’s statement reads.

The ministry also emphasized the close ties between the two countries and described the contribution of Ukrainians as part of the shared future of Poland and Ukraine.
