On the night of August 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out an airstrike on Wildberries sorting center in Russia’s Tula Region.

According to preliminary reports, the facility was almost completely destroyed by fire, writes Dialog.UA after monitoring social media.

A missile alert was declared in the Tula Region on August 5 at approximately 12:34 a.m. At 02:52, the missile alert was lifted in this Russian region, and at 04:56, the UAV alert was lifted. The governor of the Tula Region, Dmitry Milyaev, acknowledged that on the night of August 5, Ukrainian drones attacked a Wildberries warehouse in the city of Aleksin. According to him, “a UAV crashed there, followed by a fire.” Milyaev also claims that Russian air defense forces in the skies over the Tula Region allegedly shot down several dozen Ukrainian drones.

The Russian marketplace Wildberries sells goods for the “special military operation” (as the war against Ukraine is called in Russia) and is used by the Russian military-industrial complex to obtain foreign goods subject to Western sanctions. As a result, Wildberries’ logistics centers are legitimate targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It should be noted that the Wildberries facility in Aleksin is one of the company’s largest sorting centers. It covers an area of approximately 300,000 square meters. Judging by videos posted online, this facility has been completely destroyed by fire.
