The consul won't be able to help.
The Polish Consulate in Grodno reiterated that the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly advises Polish citizens against traveling to Belarus. A Level 4 travel warning—the highest level—remains in effect for Belarus, as before, noted “Most”.
The consulate specifically drew the attention of individuals who hold dual citizenship in Belarus and Poland to the fact that, under Belarusian law, they are considered exclusively as citizens of Belarus.
“Thus, in a crisis situation, the consul will not be able to provide consular assistance to a Polish citizen who also holds Belarusian citizenship,” the statement reads.
The statement also noted that the Belarusian Border Committee requires individuals with dual Polish-Belarusian citizenship to present a Belarusian passport when leaving Belarus. This applies to minors as well.
