A Russian "Volna Kupol Garant" Electronic Warfare System Was Burned Near Gelendzhik

Near Gelendzhik, Russia—where Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s residence is located—the “Volna Kupol Garant” electronic warfare system was discovered and destroyed.

This was reported by the influential OSINT project Dnipro Osint, according to Dialog.UA.

Judging by satellite images, the facility was located on the grounds of military unit No. 2156, approximately 24 km from the Russian dictator’s palace. On August 7, it was successfully struck by Ukrainian drones.

“Volna Kupol Garant” is a Russian electronic warfare (EW) system designed to jam Starlink satellite communications. “The system generates directional radio jamming toward the satellite, preventing it from receiving signals from terminals,” Dnipro Osint reported.

This is at least the third instance of this system being destroyed since the full-scale war began. However, the previous ones were attacked in occupied territories. This is the first time a “Volna Kupol Garant” has been taken out on Russian territory.
