A rally was held in Vilnius to mark the anniversary of the start of the revolution on August 9, 2020.

Belarusians gathered in Cathedral Square and unfurled a huge white-red-white flag, according to “Solidarity”.

Former political prisoners, representatives of the diaspora, and civic activists addressed the crowd. Musicians also performed—the Pra.Dziva choir and Yuri Stylsky.

A gallery featuring portraits of political prisoners was set up in the square.

Over a hundred people gathered for the event.

Together with the choir, the crowd sang “Pogonya.”

Participants also formed a huge circle dance. Then they set off on a march through the city.

The “March of Dignity” reached the Belarusian embassy. Participants observed a minute of silence in honor of the regime’s victims and the Belarusian volunteers who died in Ukraine.
