Russia's top propagandists have acknowledged the enormous damage to the Russian economy.
Russian propagandists have acknowledged that Ukrainian strikes on the logistics centers of the Wildberries and Ozon marketplaces are causing serious damage to Russian businesses.
According to military propagandist Alexander Arutyunov, Wildberries’ losses have allegedly already reached 1 trillion rubles, or about $12 billion. Journalist Denis Kazansky drew attention
On the “Solovyov Live” broadcast, Arutyunov claimed that Ukraine is deliberately destroying Wildberries facilities and has now shifted its focus to Ozon. He also acknowledged that the Ukrainian strikes have an economic rationale: to make continuing the war as costly as possible for Russia.
Denis Kazansky drew attention to the absurdity of the war, which stems from these estimates: the $12 billion figure, according to propagandists, exceeds the value of the entire city of Slavyansk, which the Russian army is trying to capture by scorching the surrounding areas, including the city itself.
At the same time, even a possible capture of the city does not mean gaining an economic asset as such: after the fighting, it will be left in ruins, and its reconstruction will require enormous additional costs.
According to Kazansky, Russian propagandists have in fact acknowledged the effectiveness of Ukraine’s strategy aimed at increasing the cost of the war for the Russian economy.
Attacks on logistics centers are complemented by strikes on oil refineries, ports, and other targets in the Russian rear, causing billions and tens of billions of dollars in damage.
