In The Krasnoyarsk Krai Of The Russian Federation, A Schoolgirl Attacked Her Teacher During An Assembly

Seven people were injured.

At School No. 2 in Kansk, a student sprayed pepper spray and attacked a teacher with a knife during an assembly, according to a local publication "Prospekt Mira". As a result, seven people, including five children, were hospitalized, the regional Ministry of Health told Ngs24. They clarified that all the victims received medical care and were released for outpatient monitoring.

The Krasnoyarsk “Interregional Center for Children’s Rights” stated that the attacker was a seventh-grader. When she tried to use the knife, one of the parents came to the teacher’s aid and pushed the girl out of the classroom. Eyewitnesses also claim that the student set a bottle containing a flammable mixture on fire in the hallway.

Investigators are working at the scene of the incident, and the holiday assembly has been canceled. The Telegram channel Baza, which has close ties to law enforcement, reports that the attacker did not have any serious problems at school—she was merely scolded for her appearance.

At the same time, according to Mash, the school had previously been found to have shortcomings in ensuring safety and organizing psychological and educational support. In the spring, it received a warning: over the course of a year, the number of students in the “high-risk group” had risen from 7 to 17, and the inspectors deemed the measures taken to be insufficient.

This is at least the third attack at schools in the Krasnoyarsk Krai since the beginning of the year. On February 3, at School No. 4, a seventh-grader attempted to stab a teacher with a knife and then injured a classmate. The next day, at School No. 153, an eighth-grade girl doused a classmate with gasoline and set him on fire.
