The Fate Of A Missing Pregnant Woman In Minsk Has Been Revealed

Yesterday, reports emerged that a 43-year-old woman, Tatyana Martishchenko, is being sought in Minsk. Since September 8, the woman has not been home and has not been in contact.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs provided an update on her whereabouts.

Criminal investigators, with the support of “Almaz” special forces, detained a 38-year-old resident of the capital suspected of murdering the 43-year-old Minsk woman.

The man confessed that he had been in a close relationship with the victim and knew she was expecting his child. At the same time, he was officially in another relationship, which led to regular conflicts between him and the victim.

During another argument, he stabbed the woman several times, placed her body in a travel bag, drove out of town, and buried her. Along the way, he disposed of the evidence—her bloodstained clothing and her smartphone.

The victim’s daughter reported her mother missing to the police two days after the murder. The suspect was arrested within 24 hours. He confessed to the crime.
