Ukraine Struck The Russian "shadow Fleet" Tanker Armada Leader

The Ukrainian military reported an attack on the Russian tanker *Armada Leader*, which, according to their information, is being used to transport oil in circumvention of international sanctions.

The vessel flies the Russian flag and is subject to sanctions imposed by Ukraine, the EU, Switzerland, and Canada.

Information regarding the sinking of the tanker from Russia’s “shadow fleet” was officially confirmed by the commander of Ukraine’s Security Service Robert “Madyar” Brovdi. According to the Ukrainian military, the tanker is linked to a company that supplies fuel to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The vessel is considered part of the so-called “shadow fleet,” which Moscow uses to circumvent oil export restrictions.

Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, reported that Operation “MoLoChKa,” during which this tanker was struck, has been ongoing for ten weeks.

According to him, 285 vessels from the “shadow fleet” have been struck during this time: 215 in July, 54 in August, and another 16 between September 1 and 11.

Brovdi claims that as a result of the attacks, shipping in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait has been paralyzed, and traffic in the northern and northeastern parts of the Black Sea has been severely disrupted.
