Ukrainian defenders struck them with artillery and drones.
Fighters from Ukraine’s 47th Mechanized Brigade “Magura” and other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated a group of Russian assault troops who were attempting to infiltrate the Sumy region from the Kursk region by moving along a decommissioned gas pipeline.
The 47th Mechanized Brigade reported this on Facebook, where it also published footage of the strikes against the enemy.
The Ukrainian military specified that the enemy was attacked with artillery, drones, and other weapons.
“The Russians decided to revive their infiltration route through a pipeline stretching from Kurshchyna to the Sumy region. But something ‘went wrong’ again,” the brigade’s statement said.
The military noted that this enemy infiltration route is under constant surveillance by the 47th Brigade and adjacent units.
“That’s why about a dozen attackers who tried to emerge from there were taken out by artillery, drones, and other means—all brigade units carried out their tasks precisely and in a coordinated manner. And this fate awaits every occupier,” stated the Ukrainian defenders.
