The causes remain unknown.

Actress Ekaterina Kosheleva has left the Belarusian State Puppet Theater. This information was reported to the editorial staff of "Zerkalo". Her name has been removed from the theater’s website.

The reasons for Kosheleva’s departure from the theater—whether she was fired or left of her own accord—are unknown.

Ekaterina had been a member of the troupe for a quarter of a century, since 2001. In the 2010s, she starred in the productions “The Boy Who Swam with Piranhas” and “Mann ist Mann.” In the 2010s, she appeared in productions such as *The Farm* and *On a Black, Black Street*. Her role as a singer in the play *A Young Doctor’s Notebook* was particularly popular with audiences.

The Belarusian State Puppet Theater in Minsk has recently become extremely popular with audiences. Some people have been trying for months to get tickets to its adult productions, as they are hard to come by.

On September 12, 2026, the theater’s chief director Yevgeny Kornyag was named “Minskan of the Year” in the “culture” category.
