On September 13 at 4:05 a.m., Lithuanian Air Force radars detected an unidentified flying object near the town of Varėna, which likely entered Lithuanian airspace from Belarus, according to Delfi

At 4:25 a.m.—that is, 20 minutes later—the object left Lithuanian airspace and entered the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.

As soon as the radar data was received, the relevant authorities notified residents. The available data was insufficient to precisely identify the type of object, but its direction of travel and other data did not indicate a direct threat to Lithuanian residents or other facilities. When the data showed that the object had left Lithuanian territory, there were no grounds for declaring an air raid alert.
