Ukrainian Drones Launched A Massive Attack On The Krasnodar Krai In Russia

Explosions rang out all night long in Sochi and other cities in southern Russia.

On the night of September 14, a series of explosions rocked Sochi and other cities in the Krasnodar Region amid reports of a drone attack threat. Local residents reported that Russian air defense systems were active, according to Dialog.UA.

According to monitoring channels Exilenova+, Supernova+, and Russian media outlets, the UAV threat was announced on the evening of September 13. Around 2:13 a.m., residents of central Sochi heard several loud explosions. At 3:51 a.m., Mayor Andrei Proshunin stated that the threat persisted and that defense forces and resources were deployed in the city.

Residents of Rostov also reported the explosions; there, monitoring channels reported flights by groups of drones and the activation of air defense systems. The targets may have been an oil refinery, an oil depot, or logistics facilities in the Sochi area; however, there is no official confirmation of this information.

In addition, there have been reports of a possible fire in the region following the arrival. Its cause and extent have not yet been confirmed. There is also information about the possible damage to the S-400 air defense system in Dagomys, but this information also requires confirmation.
