The European Parliament Has Once Again Lifted The Immunity Of The Anti-Semite Grzegorz Braun

A Polish politician denied the Holocaust.

The European Parliament in Strasbourg voted to lift Grzegorz Braun's immunity on Tuesday, September 15, according to RMF24.

The vote does not mean that the Member of the European Parliament is found guilty, but it allows national judicial authorities to conduct an investigation or legal proceedings.

This time, the politician is being prosecuted because, according to the Polish prosecutor’s office, he denied the use of gas chambers for mass murder at Auschwitz-Birkenau and Majdanek during an online discussion on September 27, 2025.

As a reminder, in July, Braun and other far-right activists held a rally to mark the 85th anniversary of the mass murder of the Jewish population in the Polish town of Jedwabne. The activists, led by Grzegorz Braun, erected a cross and a memorial plaque nearby, once again denying Polish culpability for this crime.

In March, the European Parliament had already voted to lift the immunity of Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun for destroying Ukrainian and EU flags, as well as for Holocaust denial.

Prior to this, the European Parliament had twice voted to lift Braun’s immunity—for destroying Hanukkah candles in the Sejm and for violating the physical integrity of a gynecologist in Olesnica.
