During the high-profile operation, 85 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory were liberated.

The legendary Third Army Corps shared details the first phase of the high-profile Operation "Vivaldi".

Details and footage were posted on the unit’s official account.

The Ukrainian military noted that this was only the “first phase” of a major operation.

“The 3rd Army Corps eliminated the infiltrated enemy and established a foothold for a further offensive. Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova, and the outskirts of Korovyi Yar—a total of 75 square kilometers of territory—have been cleared of occupiers. Sredne has been de-occupied, adding another 10 square kilometers. Together, this covers an area larger than Zhytomyr and nearly as large as Chernihiv. What does “clearing out infiltrators” mean? In the 3rd Army Corps’ area of responsibility, the enemy’s primary tactic was “flag-planting.” “Small enemy groups hiding in the gray zone would disguise themselves as civilians, launch attacks on our positions, and were tasked with facilitating the enemy’s slow advance,” a corps spokesperson explained.

To counter this threat, a joint headquarters was established at the tactical level to coordinate the actions of special operations and intelligence units. Another key element of the operation was cutting off the Russian Armed Forces’ logistics. The enemy was forced to relocate key logistics nodes deep into the rear.

As a result of the operation, Russian Federation armed forces suffered casualties of approximately 1,500 personnel. The enemy also lost a large amount of equipment.

“If you were to pile all that scrap metal in one place, it would form a mountain as tall as a five-story building,” reported the 3rd Corps.
