Russian generals are pulling the wool over the Kremlin leader's eyes.
Russian propagandist Colonel Viktor Baranets claimed that generals are pulling the wool over Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s eyes. He made this claim on the air of the propaganda radio station “Komsomolskaya Pravda,” according to Dialog.UA.
A listener called in and asked Barants why the Ukrainian city of Lyman, which Putin had publicly declared captured, remains under Ukrainian control.
The propagandist answered honestly—lying in the Russian army is part of the system.
“You know, the lies told by commanders in reports sent up the chain of command, unfortunately, are already becoming the norm. Let’s go back to Kupyansk. A disgraceful incident. They reported all the way up to the Kremlin itself that it had been taken. Then they started to downplay it a bit, feeding us a line that it was ‘largely under control.’ And then they said that we had ‘withdrawn to pre-prepared positions.’ A lie is a lie! (…) After all, it had already been announced that Lyman had been taken. And now they’re telling us ‘there’s fierce fighting there’… Yes, Liman isn’t under our control,” the propagandist noted.
He’s demanding tough action from the duped Putin in response to these incidents. “The country’s leader must tell the command very loudly to stop pulling his leg! Because this is a disgrace. I think Vladimir Vladimirovich will have enough resolve, if this happens again, to give these people—who report to the Kremlin in advance that a settlement has been captured—a bit of a dressing-down. This is a disgrace! It’s certainly a disgrace,” Baranets complained.
