Thousands Of Christians Living In The Netherlands Held A Rally In Support Of Israel

The event took place in downtown Amsterdam.

Christians supporting Israel gathered on Thursday, September 17, in downtown Amsterdam for a solidarity rally called “Stand Up for Israel,” according to newsru.co.il.

Speakers at the rally included the Chief Rabbi of the Netherlands Binyamin Jacobs and the leader of the conservative Reformed Political Party (Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij) Chris Stoffer.


According to Dutch media reports, 45 pro-Palestinian activists were detained at the event; they had attended despite a municipal ban on their demonstrations.

On Dam Square, where the pro-Israel demonstration was taking place, several participants tore down a Palestinian flag hanging from a nearby H&M building.

According to Dutch media reports, the counter-protest was moved to a location 500 meters from the rally site.
