A Woman From Minsk Has Been Complaining For Two Years About Mysterious Stains In Her Apartment

A Minsk resident has been trying to get a leak in her apartment fixed for about two years. After heavy rains, the wall gets wet, and dampness and mold have appeared in the room. The developer has tried several times to find the cause, but has not yet been able to identify it, according to the state agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

A resident of the “English Quarter” residential complex in the Malinovka neighborhood said that a wall in her apartment at 28 Yesenin Street has been leaking regularly for two years. This usually happens after heavy rains.

Despite the measures taken, appeals to the developer have yielded no results. Specialists have repeatedly sealed the grout lines between the tiles, inspected the heating system, and even suggested that the leak might be caused by an air conditioner mounted on the wall, but this theory was not confirmed.

The Moscow District Administration reported that a commission inspection of the apartment was conducted on August 6, after which a decision was made to test the heating system for leaks and remove the flooring for a detailed inspection. The pipe joints were opened on August 18, after which hydraulic tests of the central heating system were conducted at a pressure of 10 MPa.

“Based on the results of the inspection, no pressure drops or leaks were detected; the system is airtight,” the administration stated. “On August 24, specialists from the installation department performed additional sealing work on the installation joints.” The apartment is being monitored. After heavy rainfall, a follow-up inspection will be conducted to verify the quality of the work performed.
