The President Of Finland Delivered A Message To Russia That Was Unpleasant For Putin

The ultimatum will remain in effect even after the war in Ukraine ends.

Finnish leader Alexander Stubb stated that the country does not need Russian gas and has no plans to resume its dependence on Russian energy resources even after a possible end to the war in Ukraine.

When asked by a journalist whether Russian gas could be supplied to Finland again once peace is established, Stubb was categorical and replied that he does not see such a possibility in the near future.

“We don’t need it. I think we should continue to completely phase out Russian energy sources,” the Finnish head of state said.

Finland has been consistently reducing its energy dependence on Russia since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine. The country is also one of the most active European nations in supporting Kyiv’s efforts to repel Russian aggression.
