The Russian dictator answered questions from reporters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to rule out the possibility of Russian strikes on military targets in the United Kingdom in connection with its support for Ukraine.

He made this statement at a press conference, as quoted by "Interfax".

Putin stated that any military facilities on Ukrainian territory, including British ones—if they exist there—are “legitimate targets” for the Russian Armed Forces.

At the same time, he expressed doubt that there are any British military facilities on Ukrainian territory.

“Are there British military facilities in Ukraine?” the Kremlin leader asked in return.

When a journalist clarified that this was a hypothetical question, Putin replied: “If there are any, then they will certainly (become a target—Ed.)”

When asked whether British defense industry facilities located on British territory could become military targets, Putin replied: “That’s a secret—a military secret.”

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry threatened that might attack British military targets on Ukrainian territory and “beyond its borders” in response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons.

The threats from Moscow came after British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced on August 24 the decision to share Storm Shadow missile production technology with Ukraine.
