U.S. President Donald Trump said he is ready to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The U.S. leader made this announcement to Fox News.

Trump also said that he is “in the process of making decisions” and that “very important events” will take place in the near future regarding the conflict between the U.S. and Iran.

“His options are: to destroy Iran, to destroy its economy, or to strike a deal,” the journalist quoted the U.S. president as saying on the air.

On September 18, NBC News reported, citing the State Department and a source, that the U.S. will issue visas to Pezeshkian, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and other members of the main Iranian delegation to participate in the high-level week of the UN General Assembly in New York.
