Preliminary Results Of The State Duma "elections" Were Announced In Russia

These figures can hardly be called unexpected.
In the “elections” to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the ruling party “United Russia” is in the lead—a result that can hardly be called a surprise given the lack of real political competition in the country.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing data from the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
With about 14% of the ballots tallied, “United Russia” has garnered about 57% of the vote. It is followed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (about 14%), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (9%), “New People” (8%), and “Fair Russia” (5.16%).
Apart from a formal difference in their names, all of these parties have for years demonstrated complete loyalty to the Kremlin and do not represent any real opposition to the Putin regime.
According to data from so-called remote electronic voting (REV), which is considered in Russia to be one of the least transparent and most manipulated tools, “United Russia” received 49.06%, “New People” 15.42%, and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) 12.26%. The DEV results do not include the Kaliningrad Oblast.
At the same time, “elections” were held in Russia for the heads of eight regions—Mordovia, Tuva, Chechnya, as well as the Belgorod, Bryansk, Penza, Tver, and Ulyanovsk regions. According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), incumbent heads or interim acting heads are in the lead in seven regions—that is, the same individuals who previously led these territories.
In Chechnya, according to the Central Election Commission, with 2.4% of ballots counted Ramzan Kadyrov is in the lead with 97.35% of the vote.
As a reminder, the “elections” in Russia began on September 18—and right from the start, there were reports of pressure on observers, coercion of public sector employees, and widespread fraud.
The Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets previously stated that Russia is preparing illegal “elections” to the State Duma in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to create the appearance of normal life—he called on Ukrainians not to participate in the voting.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also urged Ukrainians living in the occupied territories not to participate in these illegal “elections.”
