The Ukrainian Armed Forces Attacked A Major Oil Refinery In Ufa

According to the Telegram channel “Aspects-Bashkortostan,” the target was the “Bashneft-Novoyl” with a capacity of 7.3 million metric tons per year, which accounts for about 10% of high-octane gasoline production and more than 7% of lubricants (marine, hydraulic, and motor) in Russia.

Together with the “Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim” and “Bashneft-UNPZ” facilities, it forms the Ufa Oil Refining Complex with a total capacity of 23.5 million metric tons per year. The industrial zone with the plants is located approximately 1,400 from the border with Ukraine.

A drone threat was declared in Bashkortostan this morning, according to Kirill Pervov, chairman of the republic’s State Committee for Emergency Situations. Mobile internet was shut down across the region. The Federal Air Transport Agency imposed restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at Ufa Airport. Residents reported explosions in the northern part of the city. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 244 Ukrainian drones had been shot down over Bashkortostan and 18 other regions, as well as over the Black Sea.

The petrochemical complex in Ufa, owned by “Bashneft,” a subsidiary of “Rosneft,” has repeatedly been targeted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Prior to this, Ukrainian drones struck local oil refineries on June 25, July 1, July 8, and at least four times in August.
