New Abrams Tanks Of The Latest Model Have Arrived In Poland

A new shipment of American M1 Abrams tanks, in the most advanced M1A2SEPv3 variant, has arrived in Poland.

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced this on the social media platform X.

This is the latest batch of M1A2SEPv3 Abrams tanks. According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, 35 tanks will soon be incorporated into the 18th Mechanized Division of the Polish Armed Forces.

“We are strengthening the defense capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces and consistently modernizing the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. Modern equipment, well-trained military personnel, and combat readiness are the foundations of Poland’s security,” the minister wrote.

Last December, the Polish Ministry of Defense reported the arrival in Poland of 32 Abrams M1A2SEPv3 tanks from the United States.

In addition to the new tanks, the Polish Army already has 116 Abrams tanks of earlier versions.

The Polish Armed Forces also operate German Leopard 2 tanks, South Korean K2 tanks, as well as Soviet T-72 tanks and their Polish-modernized variant, the PT-91 Twardy.
