Meta unveiled the Muse Charm, a pocket-sized device.

Meta has unveiled a small device called the Muse Charm, which is designed to make its AI assistant accessible to the widest possible audience. The keychain-sized gadget will go on sale in December and will be one of the first devices in a new class designed primarily for constant interaction with artificial intelligence, according to Axios.

Charm will allow users to quickly access Muse via voice commands and show the assistant what’s happening around them. Meta also announced new features for the service—real-time video chats, voice calls with a choice of voices, and a separate email address for each user.

“We’ve packed a huge amount of technology into this little device,” said Mark Zuckerberg.

The Meta CEO expects Muse to become much more than a typical chatbot. “I expect Muse to evolve into a personal superintelligence used by billions of people around the world,” Zuckerberg said.

At the same time, Meta is expanding sales of Muse through major retailers, including Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, and Wayfair. Amazon, however, has not yet joined the program.

The company also unveiled new camera-less glasses designed for users who need constant access to AI without a camera function. They will go on sale in late October and start at $349.

For next year, Meta is preparing an even more significant update to its VR lineup—a lightweight headset priced at $1,299.

The company hopes to combine its developments in AI, smart glasses, and virtual reality to create a new major technology platform.
