Heavy Smoke Was Spotted In Downtown Minsk

Seven Emergency Ministry vehicles arrived at the scene.

A fire broke out in a dormitory on Krasnaya Street in Minsk on the afternoon of September 24. Residents were able to evacuate the building on their own, and there were no injuries, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A report of a fire in a dorm room was received via the 112 emergency number. When rescue workers arrived at the scene, smoke was coming from a window on the fourth floor.

During their reconnaissance, Emergency Ministry personnel determined that property had caught fire in one of the rooms. The fire was extinguished.

Seven pieces of equipment were dispatched to the dormitory. After extinguishing the fire, rescue workers continued to work at the scene and clear the smoke.
