General Biletsky: Hundreds Of Occupiers Have Surrendered

The Russians missed a key strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian military is successfully carrying out counteroffensive in the Lyman sector and have taken more than 250 people prisoner. This was reported by the Third Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Corps troops liberated Novoye, Redkodub, and Yekaterinovka, and regained control of Karpovka and Novomikhailovka. Enemy losses totaled 2,000 personnel, and more than 250 Russians were taken prisoner.

This marked the end of the third phase of "Vivaldi," which the corps described as a turning point for the entire operation. During this phase, the corps recaptured another 51 km of Ukrainian territory, bringing the total reclaimed since the start of offensive operations to 176 km.

The main objective of the third season was Novoye—a key enemy stronghold on the bridgehead. The commander of the Third Army Corps, Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky, explained that whoever controls the high ground around this settlement holds the initiative on the bridgehead.

“The enemy was convinced that the main assault would be directed toward the Shandrigolovo–Zelenaia Dolina axis. This forced them to pointlessly burn through their reserves in counterattacks precisely there. The Russians missed the real strike, which was focused on capturing Novoye,” Biletsky stated.

To break through the defenses, the corps used a system of its own design: Soviet BTR-60 armored personnel carriers converted into robotic kamikaze complexes. With their help, the enemy’s strongest fortifications were blown up.

Entire Russian units surrendered, including officers, pilots, and artillerymen.
