Drones Struck A Railway Line In The Bryansk Region Near The Border With Belarus

Trains to Minsk take a detour through Smolensk and Orsha.

Drones attacked railway infrastructure in three districts of the Bryansk region in Russia, according to a statement made on the morning of September 28 by the head of the regional administration Yegor Kovalchuk. Against this backdrop, the Belarusian Railways announced a change in the route of the train from Anapa, which was supposed to pass through the Bryansk region and Gomel.

In the Bryansk region, the Dyatkovo-Lyudinovo railway section was attacked, where part of a bridge collapsed and 10 railcars derailed. In addition, 18 empty open-top cars derailed in the Unecha District as a result of an attack. Tracks were also damaged in the Navlino District, Kovalchuk said.

Train No. 489, running from Anapa to Minsk, passes through the Unecha station. According to BelZhD, citing Russian Railways, its route and arrival time will change “for technical reasons.”

The train, which departed on September 26, will be rerouted through Smolensk and Orsha, although it was originally scheduled to pass through Dobrush and Gomel after the Russian town of Unecha. As a result, instead of arriving in Minsk at 5:10 p.m. on September 28, it will arrive at 4:02 p.m.

To accommodate passengers, an additional train, No. 692 Minsk–Gomel, has been scheduled to depart at 5:06 p.m. Train No. 691 (Gomel–Minsk) will depart at 12:53 p.m. and will carry those who purchased tickets for the train that was supposed to travel through the Gomel region.
