The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces announced the deployment of military aircraft in response to Russian drone attacks against Ukraine. This is stated in a post by the command on social media platform X.

The Polish military reported that it deployed aircraft in response to Russian attacks on western Ukraine carried out using aerial strike capabilities.

“In accordance with current procedures, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, through the Air Operations Center, deployed the necessary forces and assets at its disposal. Ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been placed on alert,” the statement said.

As noted, these measures are preventive in nature and aimed at ensuring the security and protection of airspace, especially in areas adjacent to zones under threat.

According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, on the afternoon of September 28, Russian drones were moving toward the “Yagodyn” checkpoint.

Poland’s Deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczyk previously announced that the country’s defense ministry plans to change the procedure for shooting down objects that violate the country’s airspace.
