Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga made this statement during a conversation with journalists, according to RBC-Ukraine.

According to the minister, diplomacy must play an increasingly active role in peace efforts and in bringing an end to Russian aggression.

Sibiga also emphasized that it is unrealistic to achieve this without U.S. involvement—such are the geopolitical realities.

Against this backdrop, the foreign minister confirmed that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently spoke with the U.S. negotiating team.
