The Ukrainian Armed Forces Sank A Russian BK-16 Landing Craft Right In Sevastopol Bay

This was not the only target that the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck last night.

In Sevastopol, Ukrainian defense forces struck a Russian BK-16 landing craft. The strike occurred on the night of September 3; the extent of the vessel’s damage is being assessed.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What is known about the BK-16 boat

The target struck in Crimea was a Project 02510 high-speed transport and landing craft, designed to transport and land troops, particularly on undeveloped coastlines, as well as for patrol and counter-sabotage missions.

Its full displacement is about 20.5 metric tons, its length is about 16 meters, and it has a crew of 2. The boat can carry up to 19 troops and is equipped with machine guns and grenade launchers.

What other targets were struck

In addition to the boat, in the area of occupied Sevastopol, the Defense Forces struck a “Krasukha-4” mobile electronic warfare station — a long-range electronic warfare system that jams the onboard radars of aircraft, helicopters, and drones. Another strike targeted an enemy drone control center in the Maryino area of occupied Crimea.

On the mainland, in the Donetsk region, a drone warehouse in Zhelannoye and an ammunition depot near Ilovaisk were struck. Enemy targets at the Vostochny training ground in Novopetrovka, Zaporizhzhia region, were also hit.
