Z-blogger Tatyana Montyan stated that after her trial in Russia, she might end up in a pretrial detention center and die there. She made this statement in a message to her followers.

The propagandist urged everyone who has the opportunity to leave Russia and save their lives. For those who cannot leave, she advised them to “keep quiet as fish” and not to trust the state.

Montyan is known as an active supporter of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the ideas of the “Russian World.” She was born in Ukraine but has long been engaged in pro-government propaganda and has made harsh statements against Kyiv. In Russia, she is on the list of terrorists and extremists, and in Ukraine, a case has been filed against her for treason.

Since the fall of 2025, Montyan has been under a travel ban as part of a criminal case initiated in the Russian Federation.

A case has been opened against her under the article on public calls for extremism (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Russian Criminal Code). The reason was an old post of hers calling to “take out the security guards.” During FSB searches, all of her electronic devices were seized.
