Military Exercises Involving The U.S. And Romania Have Begun In Moldova

From September 4 to 19, the “Fire Shield” military exercises will take place in Moldova, involving troops from Moldova, Romania, and the United States.

The exercises will take place at training centers in various parts of the country. The goal is to improve operational interoperability among the armed forces of the three countries. Moldova will play a leading role.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense reported that military vehicles may be seen on the roads due to the maneuvers. Troop movements will take place primarily at night.

The “Fire Shield” exercises have been held annually since 2015.
