Polish Consulate In Hrodna Stopped Receiving Belarusian Citizens

The exception is for visits on "very urgent situations".

Consulate General of Poland in Hrodna has reported on its website that it cancels admission of interested persons on all issues except for very urgent ones.

"We will inform about any changes in the work of the Consulate as they appear," - they say.

Earlier, the Charter97.org website reported that the visa centers of Lithuania and Poland had stopped accepting documents for visas from Belarusians.

Also today it became known that 32 Polish diplomats will leave Belarus before Friday.

We remind that on October 2, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus demanded from the embassies of Poland and Lithuania to reduce the number of diplomats in our country: 14 diplomats should stay at the Lithuanian embassy instead of 25, 18 - instead of 50 at the Polish embassy. Also, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry recommended to recall the ambassadors of Lithuania and Poland to their homeland for consultations.

Polish Ambassador Artur Michalski and Lithuanian Ambassador Andrius Pulokas left Belarus on October 5. Their example was followed by some ambassadors of EU member states.
