The defence of the national flag has become the key leitmotif of the Belarusian protests. Belarusians hang out dozens of white-red-white flags, go to rallies with national symbols, participate in various flash mobs. Experts argue that any attempt to slander the national flag will play a cruel joke on the regime and bear a reverse effect.
