ISW Reports Strife Between Kremlin Puppets In Ukraine

There is no unity among the traitors.

There is no unity between the occupation administrations in different occupied territories of Ukraine, say analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). In particular, this is evidenced by the conflict that has emerged over the main administrative functions between the collaborators from the illegal DPR group and other occupation administrations.

The ISW explains that the Russian-backed "chairman of the Association of Cargo Carriers and Freight Forwarders of Crimea," Anatoliy Tsurkin, released a public appeal to "DPR" militant leader Denys Pushylin on December 18, calling on him to address "the illegal, groundless actions carried out on the territory of the 'DPR' by the administrative, law enforcement and bureaucratic authorities". In addition, Tsurkin said that representatives of the "DPR" illegal formation are detaining trucks coming from the occupied peninsula without any particular reason near Nikolske and Mangush. The appeal also referred to the unwarranted seizure of drivers' personal documents in such cases and the seizure of vehicles.

"Tsurkin's complaints have probably arisen in part as a result of increased pressure on the Russian authorities to find alternative logistical routes from Russia to Crimea because of the damage to the Kerch Bridge. They also symbolize the increasing tension between the "DPR" and other groups affiliated with Russia, a fact previously reported by ISW. The lack of administrative cohesion in Pushilin's regime is obviously badly perceived by other Russian and Russian-backed authorities, which in general indicates that Pushilin is not communicating effectively with other occupation authorities and therefore complicates the logistics between the "DPR" and other occupied territories, the ISW adds.
