AFU General: The Level Of Military Threat From Belarus Is Growing

The level of military threat from Belarus is growing, but Ukraine is monitoring the situation. Serhiy Naev, the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told about it.

Naev said that training of Russian guidance and interceptors aircraft used against carriers of air-launched ballistic missiles, the Kinzhal, is taking place in the airspace of Belarus.

“The training is carried out for the only purpose of detecting targets in Ukraine intended for launching missile strikes. But we are taking all measures to reduce this level of threat,” said the lieutenant general.

According to him, the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 10th Tank Army of the Russian Federation, as well as units with Iskander missile systems intended for attacks on Ukraine, are now concentrated in Belarus.

“This potential is currently sufficient to create a threat to Ukraine and conduct tactical actions. At the same time, we are closely monitoring the weapons being transferred from Russia and are making an appropriate analysis. The level of military threat is growing, but we are taking necessary measures. Also, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides for the build-up of groups in the event of a significant increase in forces from the opposite side,” Naev said.

Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that Putin demanded the direct participation of Belarus in the war against Ukraine.
