A situation report.

The situation report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been published:

“The Russian occupier has slowed down the pace of the offensive, but still continues to try to develop the pace of the offensive in certain directions in the offensive operation against Ukraine.

The sixth day of the Russian military invasion against Ukraine continues.

Columns of armored vehicles of the Russian aggressors have slowed down the pace of the offensive, and are experiencing problems with supply on the territory of Ukraine. The enemy troops are deprived of the systemic supply of fuel and ammunition.

Having not achieved success in capturing the regional centers of Kharkiv and Chernihiv, the occupiers fired missiles at residential areas of these cities.

In addition, the Russian invaders continue to encircle the Ukrainian cities of Sumy, Lebedin and Akhtyrka, the enemy is regrouping in order to continue the offensive in the direction of Kyiv.

In the Donetsk region, enemy troops, with artillery support from the RF Armed Forces, concentrated their efforts on capturing the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, but they were not successful. The goals of entering the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions were not achieved.

In Tavria direction, the enemy with available forces reached the line in the areas of the settlements of Skadovsk, Holaya Pristan, Kherson, Nova Kakhovka. After the regrouping the enemy continues the offensive in the direction of Mykolaiv.

Cases of robberies and looting by the invaders were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Bucha, Hostomel, Novy Basanov.

Despite the fact that the Russian Federation is a state party to the Geneva Conventions for the Protection of Victims of War, its armed forces and terrorist groups supported by it continue to systematically and brazenly violate the norms of International Humanitarian Law in Ukraine.

Having missed offensive opportunities, the enemy concentrated on encircling the city of Kyiv.

As of 12.00 01.03.2022, the estimated losses of weapons and military equipment of the enemy of the RF Armed Forces were: aircraft — 29 units, helicopters — 29 units, tanks — 198 units, armored combat vehicles — 846 units, art. systems — 77, air defense systems — 7 units, multiple rocket launchers — 24 units, UAVs — 3 units, AT-T — 305 units, fuel tanks — 60 ships, boats — 2.
